The FE-SEM system installation has been completed, and the initial training process has been finished.

The procurement process for the HITACHI SU8700 model Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FE-SEM) system, capable of serving seven priority areas of our university, has been completed. The first phase of the hands-on training, covering the basic components of the FE-SEM system and user interface, as well as selected examples, was conducted by Mr. Gökhan ERDOĞAN, Sales and Application Manager at Tetra Technological Systems, a Physicist. The training was completed on January 19, 2024, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Yasemin ŞAFAK ASAR (Deputy Director of GÜTMAM), Instructor Ayten SEÇKİN (GÜTMAM Laboratory Staff), Instructor Aslıhan DEMİRKAYA (GÜTMAM Laboratory Staff), Instructor Gözde ALTUNTAŞ (Technology Faculty SEM Analyst), Instructor Seda GÜRGEN AVŞAR (Tech. Fac. Mat. & Met. Eng.), and Furkan İLBEY. The second phase of the training and the completion of the laboratory requirements are expected to be finalized, and the system is planned to be operational by March 2024.
