Announcement
Confocal Raman Spectroscopy
13 January 2026 | 15:55

The Alpha 300 R is a next-generation confocal Raman imaging system that offers extremely high spatial resolution and sensitivity. Combining high-resolution optical imaging with rapid spectral acquisition, the system enables the generation of detailed chemical maps in a short time. Thanks to its superior sensitivity, visualization of chemical components can be performed non-destructively without requiring any sample preparation. In a typical measurement, a single Raman spectrum is recorded in under 100 milliseconds, allowing a comprehensive image consisting of tens of thousands of spectra to be collected in just a few minutes. Different chemical phases that cannot be distinguished by optical microscopy can be reliably analyzed with Raman imaging at resolutions down to 200 nm. The confocal design suppresses unwanted background signals to enhance contrast, while also allowing depth information to be acquired
